Details of the Job/Internship

Lakshmikumaran & Sridharan Attorneys is hiring an Associate – Indirect Tax Advisory with experience of 6 months to 2 years to join their office in Mumbai.

Role and Responsibilities

• Conduct in-depth research and analysis of legal provisions.
• Draft advisories, opinions, and compliance reports.
• Prepare presentations for client meetings, training sessions, and seminars.
• Analyze client data to estimate tax impact on business transactions.
• Develop scenarios to identify tax-efficient business models.
• Contribute articles and knowledge materials.
• Handle tax matters including submissions, replies to notices, and appeals.
• Assist in representation before tax authorities along with seniors.
• Manage work for multiple clients and take responsibility for smaller clients.
• Build relationships with client management teams.
• Identify opportunities for existing clients and communicate them to managers.
• Maintain legal databases and stay updated with regulatory developments.
• Contribute to knowledge management activities of the firm.

Eligibility

• CA or Law Graduate from a reputed institution with a strong academic record.
• 6 months to 2 years of post-qualification experience in indirect tax advisory or litigation.
• Prior experience in GST and/or customs is preferred.
• Strong analytical, research, communication, and drafting skills.
• Proactive, reliable, and detail-oriented approach.

Salary/Stipend
