About BeastLife
BeastLife is a fast-growing consumer health and wellness brand. We are looking for a strong Corporate Lawyer to join our Legal team, someone with hands-on experience in Consumer Litigation, Corporate & Commercial Legal, Regulatory Compliance and Dispute Management.
This is a hands-on, in-house role for someone who has handled the day-to-day legal work of a consumer brand: complaints, hearings, influencer contracts, marketing claims and regulator queries. It is not a purely advisory or transactional position.
Who Should Apply
This role is only for professionals currently working in-house at a D2C, e-commerce, FMCG, consumer or health & wellness brand. We are not considering independent practitioners, litigation-only lawyers or law firm profiles.
What You'll Own
Consumer & Civil Litigation
- Manage consumer cases end to end across District, State and National Consumer Commissions, along with civil and commercial matters in courts and tribunals
- Draft and vet legal notices, replies, written statements, rejoinders, affidavits and other pleadings
- Coordinate with external counsels and law firms, and track strategy, hearings and outcomes
Corporate & Commercial
- Draft, review and negotiate vendor, manufacturing, marketing, influencer, NDA, SaaS, service, warehousing, logistics and other business agreements
- Advise business teams on contractual risk, disputes and day-to-day legal matters
Regulatory & Compliance
- Handle matters under the Consumer Protection Act, Legal Metrology, FSSAI, e-commerce rules and other applicable laws
- Draft responses and representations to government authorities and regulators
- Advise on product claims, advertising and marketing claims, warranties, refunds and consumer complaints
Brand & IP Protection
- Manage trademark filings, IP protection, brand infringement and online brand enforcement
Legal Operations
- Prepare legal research and opinions
- Maintain trackers for litigation, notices, contracts and compliance
- Work closely with HR, Finance, Marketing, Sales, Procurement, Operations and Leadership
Must-Have Qualifications
- LL.B / B.A. LL.B / LL.M.
- 5-8 years of relevant legal experience
- Strong, hands-on consumer litigation experience (mandatory)
- Current in-house experience at a D2C, e-commerce, FMCG, retail, food/nutrition, health & wellness or consumer brand
- Solid grounding in corporate and commercial law and contract management
- Strong understanding of consumer protection, regulatory and business laws
- Experience working with external counsels and regulatory authorities
- Excellent drafting, negotiation and legal research skills
What Success Looks Like
You can independently manage consumer cases, litigation, contracts and regulatory matters, and give the business practical, commercially sound advice without needing hand-holding.
