Details of the Job/Internship
Numerator is seeking a Junior Commercial Counsel with experience of 2–3 years to support commercial transactions across APAC markets in a remote role.
Role and Responsibilities
- Draft, review, and negotiate client-facing commercial agreements including master service agreements, data licensing agreements, subscription agreements, order forms, and statements of work for APAC markets.
- Advise sales and business development teams on deal structure, contract risks, and commercial terms.
- Identify and escalate legal risks in commercial transactions with practical recommendations.
- Develop and maintain regional contract templates and playbooks to support efficiency.
- Manage contracts through Salesforce and maintain accurate records.
- Collaborate with the global legal team on cross-border transactions, compliance initiatives, and process improvements.
- Support other legal team projects and initiatives as required.
Eligibility
- Law degree from a recognized university.
- 2–3 years of experience in commercial or transactional legal work in-house or at a law firm; technology, data, or SaaS experience preferred.
- Experience with APAC commercial markets or cross-border transactions preferred.
- Working knowledge of data protection and privacy laws across key APAC jurisdictions.
- Strong contract drafting and negotiation skills.
- Fluency in English.
- Proficiency in Korean or Bahasa Indonesia or any additional APAC language preferred.
- Proficiency with Google Suite, Salesforce, Microsoft Office, and collaboration tools preferred.
