Details of the Job/Internship

ExxonMobil Services & Technology Private Limited is hiring a Legal Counsel with experience of 3–6 years to join their office in Bengaluru.

Role and Responsibilities

• Draft and negotiate a wide variety of commercial agreements and related legal documentation.
• Provide comprehensive legal advice on ExxonMobil’s activities and operations within India and across various global jurisdictions.
• Deliver robust compliance support to ensure business operations align with regulatory requirements.
• Conduct in-depth legal research and analysis to support strategic business decisions.
• Exercise sound business judgment to provide pragmatic solutions for complex legal issues.
• Build and maintain strong professional relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
• Support the optimization of energy and chemical strategies through effective risk mitigation.
• Collaborate with global teams to maintain consistent legal standards across the organization.

Eligibility

• Law degree from a reputable law school.
• 3–6 years of post-qualification experience (PQE) in a law firm or in-house legal department.
• Strong analytical, research, and communication skills in English.
• Demonstrated ability to provide high-quality business and corporate legal advice.
• Preferred: Experience in a multinational corporate legal department or the oil and gas industry.
• Preferred: Company Secretary qualification, an LLM from a U.S. Law School, or a U.S. law license.
• Strategic and pragmatic approach with a record of leadership and initiative.
