Details of the Job/Internship
Black Suit™ is hiring a Legal Intern (current law students) to join their office in New Delhi for a duration of 3–6 months.
Role and Responsibilities
- Draft essential legal documents, including complaints under Section 138 of the NI Act, affidavits, and legal notices.
- Assist in the preparation of pleadings for civil suits and recovery matters.
- Support senior lawyers in matters pending before the High Court and other subordinate courts in Delhi.
- Manage and review legal documentation to ensure accuracy in filing and case records.
- Perform detailed legal research and prepare concise case briefs for upcoming hearings.
- Coordinate with clients to gather information and provide timely case updates.
- Assist in the administrative and procedural aspects of court filings.
- Attend court proceedings to observe advocacy and assist the legal team on the ground.
Eligibility
- Current law students (pursuing 3-year or 5-year LL.B. programs).
- Strong interest in litigation, specifically in NI Act and recovery cases.
- Reasonable drafting and research skills.
- Ability to commit to a 3–6 month on-site internship in New Delhi.
- Proactive attitude and willingness to learn court procedures.
- Good organizational skills to manage multiple case files and records.
