The $50 billion+ agri-inputs industry faces challenges from a diversified, fragmented, and seasonal demand. Traditional supply chains are costly and lack data visibility, leading to inventory losses or unmet demand. Our on-demand tech platform solves these issues by reducing demand and supply mismatches.

We have recently raised $20.5m Series B funds from Asia Impact and BII to strengthen our technology, enhance offerings, and expand operations.

*Problem Statement*

In India, we have a lot of different crops, but our farmers don't have much land. This makes it tough for them to get the right farming supplies at the right time. The brick-and-mortar supply chain has problems like having limited products, too much inventory in stock and working capital, high returns and not being able to give farmers what they need when they need it.

Over 40,000 MSME agri-inputs manufactures rely on this data dark supply chain, but it hurts their profits.

*What's Agrim doing?*

In a perfect world, we would take products from the manufacturers and deliver them directly to the farmers, like how Swiggy and Zomato deliver food.

But it's too expensive to do that for farmers. Plus, farmers also need advice on farming, which requires local knowledge. So, we're creating a platform for local shops that farmers trust. We're making a system where these stores can get the farming supplies they need just-in-time.

We offer a big selection of 1,00,000+ products to these stores, which is way better than other options.

We use technology to keep our costs low, stay asset-light, and make sure we can reach every part of the country. We're focused on making things better bit by bit and letting compounding do the magic.

Details of the Job/Internship

We are looking for a Legal Manager - Contracts who will lead the drafting, review, and negotiation of commercial agreements across the organisation and manage coordination with external legal counsel.

The role will work closely with business, procurement, partnerships, logistics, finance, and leadership teams to ensure contracts are structured efficiently while protecting Agrim’s legal and commercial interests.

Role and Responsibilities

Contract Drafting & Negotiation
Draft, review, and negotiate a wide range of commercial agreements including Supplier and distribution agreements, Logistics and transportation contracts, Vendor/service provider agreements, NDAs and data-sharing agreements, Partnership and collaboration agreements
Ensure contracts adequately address risk allocation, liability, indemnities, and compliance requirements.
Support business teams during negotiation with counterparties.
Contract Lifecycle Management
Standardise contract templates across the organisation.
Build and maintain internal contract playbooks and negotiation guidelines.
Track contract approvals, execution, and renewals.
Business Advisory
Work closely with business teams to structure commercial arrangements from a legal and risk perspective.
Identify potential legal risks in proposed partnerships or commercial arrangements and recommend mitigation strategies.
External Counsel Coordination
Coordinate with external law firms for Complex contract negotiations, Regulatory advice and Dispute related matters
Manage legal partner deliverables, timelines, and quality.
Regulatory & Compliance Support
Provide support on regulatory matters related to the agri-input sector, logistics, and marketplace operations.
Assist in responding to notices or regulatory queries where required.
