URGENT HIRING – VICE PRESIDENT – LEGAL (INDIA)
Location: Mohali, India
We are hiring a Vice President – Legal (India) to lead legal, compliance, governance, risk, and regulatory matters for a global organization’s India operations.
Role and Responsibilities
- Lead corporate, commercial, employment and regulatory legal matters.
- Advise leadership and HR on employment laws, contracts, policies, investigations and employee matters.
- Review and negotiate MSAs, NDAs, SOWs, vendor and client agreements.
- Ensure compliance with Companies Act, labor laws, SEZ/IT Park and outsourcing regulations.
- Drive DPDP, GDPR, CCPA and cross-border data privacy compliance.
- Manage disputes, legal notices, regulatory inquiries and external counsel.
- Partner with global legal, privacy, information security, HR and business teams.
Eligibility
12–18 Years
Industry: BPO / Outsourcing / ITES
Qualification: LL.B. / LL.M. preferred
Function: Legal & Compliance
Reports To: Global Chief Legal Officer
- 12–18 years of post-qualification legal experience.
- Strong in-house legal experience, preferably in BPO, outsourcing, IT/ITES or technology.
- Expertise in corporate, commercial, employment, regulatory and data privacy law.
- Strong contract negotiation, stakeholder management and risk assessment skills.
- Experience working with global/matrixed organizations preferred.
